Expert Panel on Agriculture and Nature


Introduction:

The Agriculture and Nature Panel completes and updates the EMEP/CORINAIR Atmospheric Emissions Inventory Guidebook, Sections 10 (Agriculture) and 11 (Other Sources and Sinks). It also helps to generate national inventories by supplying technical support (calculation sheets).

The seventh joint meeting of the Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections' expert panel on agriculture and nature and the Expert Group on Ammonia Abatement, under the Convention's Working Group on Strategies and Review was held in Pruhonice (near Prague) Czech Republic from 26-28 April 2006.

As in the past, the meeting of the expert panel on agriculture and nature (day 1) was devoted to the updating of the EMEP/CORINAIR Atmospheric Emission Inventory Guidebook. The meeting of the Expert Group on Ammonia Abatement (days 2 and 3) were devoted to research results concerning techniques to measure and reduce ammonia emissions and to updating of the Guidance Document to the 1999 Gothenburg Protocol describing abatement techniques.
