Welcome to the website of the Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections (TFEIP) under the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution.
The TFEIP supports Parties in the reporting of official air pollutant emissions and projections data to the Convention. It also provides a technical forum and expert network to identify emission factors, establish methodologies for the estimation of emissions, and identify problems related to data reporting.
The TFEIP website contains information about the Task Force and the work of its expert panels, including documents from past meetings. More information on the TFEIP may be found on the About TFEIP page.
The 2012 annual TFEIP/EIONET meeting will be held 14-15 May in Bern, Switzerland, and is kindly being hosted by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment. The main meeting will be followed by an expert workshop on POPs inventories and reporting on the 16th May.
Registration details for the meetings will follow.
The TFEIP Winter 2011/12 newsletter is now available. It includes news from the expert panels, details of the forthcoming 2012 TFEIP meeting in May, as well as other information items. You can download it here: Winter 2011/12 Newsletter
The Discussion Forum provides users with the opportunity to discuss issues concerning the estimation and reporting of emission inventories.
To inform the Gothenburg Protocol negotiations on potential options for including correction and flexibility mechanisms for reporting, the Executive Body requested the TFEIP to provide technical advice on the issue. The ad-hoc group has recently produced its report on flexibility mechanisms.
Following the meeting of expert reviewers in Copenhagen in June 2011, the emission inventory review reports for each of the reviewed countries have now been published by CEIP.
